Make sure you're bringing school supplies for the kids at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist over the next couple of weeks. We will pass them out on August 1st, the last day of MSX. Here we have one of our early donations, one lucky kid will receive a Matt Maples to take to school with them this fall:

SOLA 2008 was one of the best camps I've ever been to. We learned that salvation is earned and life is lived by grace alone through faith alone and in Christ alone. What a great experience to hear our students expressing that truth. We'll have more video and picture updates soon, or to see more pictures now, Join the Intersect Facebook Group!!

What a great night we had last night! I was blown away by the response of our students and our church. We had about 100 folks going to 13 different locations. 4 groups had chainsaws and cleared out trees for folks without insurance. We passed out nearly 400 meals and one family spent $200 at Burger King after they ran out of sack lunches. We had folks raking and bagging debrees, praying with and ministering to families all over the city. God was truly glorified through the people of Mabel White last night! Pray for continued efforts, about to head back out there.

This is from our first day of work to help families effected by the recent EF 2 tornadoes. Thanks so much to Jourdyn, Griffin, Malte, Palmer, Marquis and Emily for your hard work in assisting others on your day off. The work continues, I need all of your help! Give me a call if you can help tonight and I expect you all to help tommorow as we will be delivering food and cleaning up yards tommorow night rather than have our regular worship service. Instead we'll worship God by being the body of Christ in our community!
